We live in Yorkshire and dearly miss our favourite resort - and many friends. Prior to retiring here we are extending a warm welcome to our cottages. We have tried to make the cottages comfortable for all guests. Quality fitments, cosy, warm and relaxing!
A beautiful town of diversity, pretty gardens, grand majestic buildings and to the east, alongside Kings Park, the largest composite marina in the UK, Sovereign marina.
Frequented by all ages who enjoy the long flat beautiful promenade and often winter sun, add young attentative foreign students working in the resorts hotels and restaurants whilst attending the English language schools, long weekenders and the 5 days midweekers, those seeking an early or late year break from work, and you have an interesting mix of nationalities and guests. Eastbourne, a renown clean family resort comes into its own during the many school holidays especially the summer season with families enjoying the long summer sun. Finaly add the leisure mariners calling all year round at Sovereign marina en-route whilst sailing to and around Europe.
A hundred activities, top class theatres and the Glynbourne Opera, Cookery courses at Brighton College (in Eastbourne), Pretty countryside with the latest national park for walking, cycling and sightseeing, marina and sailing clubs, love action or just relaxing and people watching, it really has a lovely welcoming mix.
Eastbourne has regularly beaten all other UK town sunshine records. Many times we have traveled down the M23 from London in weather you wouldn't let a dog out in, watching a clear blue patch of sky to the left of Brighton. Not daring to hope it would still be there when we arrived. I think it was only once it let us down. A microclimate, the wind hits beachy head cliffs and punches a hole in any clouds. Its a phenomenon I have enjoyed watching many times as the clouds disappear on one side to miraculously re-appear the other. I can't guarantee beautiful weather but I am certain experience and factual records place it top resort in the UK.
We hope you enjoy your stay. Help is always on hand, Jane who manages it on a day to day basis will introduce herself upon your arrival. We like to ensure you have everything you need during your stay. Following which we would welcome your feedback.
